When It's Time To Play!

I remember way back when I was in about 7th grade, Miss Harness made us memorize poetry. At the time, I don't think I really cared much for it, but I can still remember much of what I memorized back then. That, in itself, could be a great lesson..."Be careful what you put in your memory bank." Or maybe..."Be sure you develop a memory bank...." But that's thoughts for another day.
Anyway, I was watching the boys this afternoon as they were having fun on the swings. The little Swing poem came to mind. I think it's a very well known poem by Robert Louis Stevenson.

The Swing

How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it's the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!

Up in the air and over the wall,
'Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside-

'Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown-

Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

-Robert Louis Stevenson

Well, here's the picture to go with the poem.

What a day! We enjoyed a wonderfully delicious Easter dinner at Mom and Dad's. There were just 16 of us there today. You can easily see who was the attention getter. Isn't he a cutie!

It was snowing!!! off and on all day. Strange weather!

We enjoyed the Main Street Opry in Kahoka Saturday night with Mom, Dad, Gariann and Kirk. The show was great, and the company was great.
The food...well, it could have been better.
